Auto Mode vs Manual Mode
How to choose between automatic generation and script-review generation.
VidBlitz can run a project in Auto mode or Manual mode. Choose the mode based on how much control you want before the rest of production begins.
Auto Mode
Use Auto mode when speed matters and you are comfortable with VidBlitz continuing after the script is prepared.
Auto mode is a good fit when:
- The topic is straightforward.
- You trust the prompt to guide the script.
- You want the fastest path to a finished draft.
- You plan to make small edits after generation instead of reviewing the script first.
Manual Mode
Use Manual mode when you want to review and edit the script before narration, visuals, metadata, thumbnails, and editing continue.
Manual mode is a good fit when:
- The topic is sensitive, factual, or brand-critical.
- You need to verify names, dates, claims, or structure.
- You want to adjust the hook or pacing before production.
- You are building an important channel video rather than testing a concept.
What Happens in Manual Mode
VidBlitz prepares the script and then pauses the project for your approval. Open the project, read the script, make edits if needed, then approve it.
After approval, VidBlitz continues with the remaining production work.
Custom Voiceover Projects
If you upload a complete voiceover, script approval is skipped. The uploaded narration already controls timing, captions, and scene planning, so editing a generated transcript would no longer match the audio.
Which Mode Should I Pick?
For a first project, Manual mode is usually safer because you can inspect the script before credits are used on the rest of the video. Once you understand the workflow and prompt quality, Auto mode is useful for faster production.
