Custom Script, Custom Voiceover, and References
When to use supplied narration, content references, and thumbnail references.
The Create Video composer can start from a production request alone or use material you provide.
Custom Script
Use Custom Script when you have the final narration text.
- Open Create Video.
- Add Custom Script.
- Paste 200 to 60,000 characters.
- Save it and submit the production request.
- Review the Quote Statement before confirming.
VidBlitz uses your wording instead of writing a new script, then builds narration, visuals, captions, timing, and the editable production around it.
Custom Voiceover
Use Custom Voiceover when narration is already recorded.
- Add Custom Voiceover.
- Upload the complete audio, up to 200 MB and 40 minutes.
- Submit the request and review the Quote Statement.
The recording becomes the timing backbone for transcription, captions, scene planning, and visual matching. Voice selection and generated narration are skipped.
Custom Script and Custom Voiceover cannot be used together.
Content Reference
Add a public YouTube content reference when you want to guide pacing, structure, visual language, or audio style.
A generated-script production may use it for writing and production direction. With a Custom Script, the reference does not rewrite your supplied narration. With a Custom Voiceover, it does not change or retime your words.
Thumbnail Reference
A thumbnail reference is separate. It guides thumbnail composition and packaging, not the narration or timeline.
Before Production
Check every supplied input in the Quote Statement. There is no later script-approval pause, so use Custom Script before confirmation whenever exact narration matters.
