Source Rules and Visual Coverage
How source permissions, exclusions, matching, recovery, and visual coverage work before and during production.
Source rules tell VidBlitz where it may look for visuals and what it should avoid.
Where to Set Rules
Save reusable choices in a Brand Profile, then review or adjust them for the current production in the Quote Statement.
Project changes do not automatically overwrite the saved Brand Profile.
Source Permissions
Choose the source types that fit your rights, editorial, and brand standards. VidBlitz uses the approved choices when searching for supporting footage, images, and eligible source-original-audio moments.
Exclusions
Use specific exclusions for sources, sites, domains, channels, creators, scene types, or visual treatments that should not appear.
Avoid overly broad exclusions unless they are essential. Narrow source permissions can reduce the runtime VidBlitz can cover with relevant visuals.
Review the Footage Outlook
The Quote Statement shows the footage outlook, confidence, limiting factors, and any warnings.
If coverage looks weak:
- Shorten the selected runtime.
- Broaden allowed source types.
- Add a useful content reference.
- Supply creator-owned media when available.
- Adjust requests that require rare, private, or unfilmable material.
During Production
VidBlitz checks candidate media for relevance, usable quality, and available rights information before assigning it to the story. Long source videos can be analyzed across multiple moments so a useful section is not missed simply because it appears later in the video.
When an initial search does not cover a visual need, VidBlitz can refine the wording, widen the candidate set, and review the strongest matches again. If suitable footage remains unavailable, it can use a relevant Animated Scene when the story and available media fit that scene.
A visible Image needed or Video needed placeholder is the last resort. If placeholders remain, the project enters Review needed. Accept the exact gaps for later replacement in the editor or choose a shorter fully covered version before final delivery.
